- For TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher): Four years’ Integrated degree course of Regional College of Education of NCERT in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate OR Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks in the concerned subjects/combination of subjects and in aggregate. CTET Paper II qualification is mandatory. B.Ed is required.
- For PRT (Primary Teacher): Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) OR Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). CTET Paper I qualification is mandatory.
- Important Note for PRT: As per recent Supreme Court rulings, B.Ed candidates are currently ineligible for PRT posts. Candidates should watch for any updated legal guidelines in the official 2026 notification.
2. Upper Age Limit (General Category):
- PGT: 40 Years
